Our experienced engineers will work closely with you to develop a Conveyor Roster to meet your particular requirements. Every units is completely assembled and tested. You are invited to witness test and run sample parts at our factory prior to shipment. |

Operation : |
Conveyor Roasting uses a perforated belt to transfer feed materials through the Roster. Heated air is either passed under & through, or over and through the belt and the product bed before being reheated and re-circulated. Units are normally multi zoned and may have deffering airflow’s in successive zones. Additionally each zone may use a different temperature profile & control. Saturated or close to saturated air is exhausted from the Roster via a central exhaust dust.
Conveyor Rosters may be multi pass units, in which the feed is transferred from one belt to another belt it by gravity. These Rosters are usually two or three pass machines. Additionally certain conveyor Rosters, such as those used in vegetables dehydration have multiple belts in line, and the feed is transferred from one belt to another. |

SIZING OF CONVEYOR ROSTER LENGTH : |
To determine if a belt conveyor Roster is practical for your application, estimate the heated tunnel length. Belt conveyor equipment is sized to the application based on part dimensions, production rate & dwell time. Belt width is selected to accommodate the desired pattern, such as in line, side by side or four abreast. The loading density, parts per lineal foot and production rate determine the design belt speed. The design heat zone length is the product of belt speed and dwell time. It is important to understand the relationship between belt width, production rate and heat zone length. Doubling the belt width will double the production rate, or allow the heat zone to be half as long.
To estimate the length of belt conveyor required your application, insert your process information in the relationships below. To the heat zone length calculated, the length of load zone and unload zone must be added. Approximately 2 additional feet of length will be required for belt guarding and drive.
Equipment width will be approximately 3 feet wider than belt width to accommodate insulation, duct work and control enclosure. To receive a detailed quotation for your application complete the “Request for Quotation Data Sheet” found on the reverse side of our catalog index.
(Production rate of………….Parts per hour) = (Belt speed of…………..feet per hour). (Loading density of…………Parts per lineal foot) (Belt speed of……….feet per hour)× (Dwell time of….…hour) = (Heat zone length of…….feet) |

CONTROL : |
PLC control or each zone, infrequently solid state controllers. System controls on above bed temperature can modulate energy. |
|
|
BENEFITS :
Very intimate contact with air/ gas stream good for Heat sensitive products and products requiring long Residence times Energy efficient due to recycling of Process air multiple zones offer flexibility for temperature And process control excellent transfer of energy can vary Flows between zones gentle handling of product self Contained with distributed foundation loading units can Have integral cooling section. |

The following range of conveyor machines, are available For the Drying, Cooling and Curing of a wide range of Product types :- |
SINGLE CONVEYOR : -
Single pass (the products travels through the machines once only) Single stage machine (the product travels through the machine on one conveyor). Single pass machines have advantage of being able to set up with a temperature profile to match the different phases which a material will go during processing. The most widely used type of conveyor machine. |
|
|
VAC- FLOW :-
Variation on the single conveyor Roster principle, but Using using much higher air pressure and velocity, through. A high resistance conveyor, has advantage in some Applications. |
|
LAMINAR FLOW :-
Mainly used for the drying / curing of sheet product after a coating process. A slower alternative to nozzle drying/ curing which suits certain application. |
MULTISTAGE -
All of the advantages of single pass with added advantage of multistaging, in which at intervals to suit the product, it is transferred from one conveyor to the next, which re-orients the product and allows deeper beds to be used later in the process, making effective use of available space. Especially suitable for very large tonnage machines. |
|
MULTIPASS :-
In this type of machine the product travels the length of the machine more than once, travelling back on itself several times. This type of machine has the disadvantage that it cannot be set-up with a true temperature profile, but as it has several conveyors on top of each other, the dwell can be several times longer than the equivalent saingle stage machine. Suitable for products which need gentle drying for long dwell times. For drying machines operating from high initial moisture contents, multiple plenum chambers must be used, to limit the large temperature drops inherent with this type of machine. |
